Chapter 3 (My salvation story episode 2)

When I got back from my first visit to my father-in-law, all I could think about was when to go back there and do what was needful. Even without any financial support, I picked a date and spoke to a few people about it as I was led, showing them the list given to me and the date I intended to get married. They pledged to support me, and most of them did, to the glory of God.

I chose April 24th. That was just about 69 days from my first visit. I did this without having any money of my own. Due to my little trust and understanding in God at the time, I was leaning more on my own understanding and putting my trust in those I had told.

Here comes

PEOPLE'S PERCEPTIVE ABOUT ME : SAMUEL  GET yourself a job so You won't need to depend on anyone, and whatever you are given should only be considered a bonus. I was asked, “Once you both are married, how do you intend to survive?” “You don’t have money, yet you went to pick a date?” “What is your dad’s contribution?” “How much do you have?” And many more.

At one point, I was devastated. I even lashed out at God because I knew my intentions in answering His call were pure. It wasn’t to become rich or to make money from people. I only wanted people to know the true God, not the other way around. But why was I faced with such embarrassing moments?

However, during these trials, I encountered a different kind of God — the God of possibilities. About three weeks to the main day, money started coming in, mostly from people I never believed could do anything or give more.

Before we went on our second visit, my dad had a dream three times. He saw me in a pool of blood and was scared it might actually come to pass (that’s his gift). But I was less concerned. He informed a man of God, and I was told to observe a spiritual exercise called “Irapada” (Redemption), as the dream was said to be pointing toward death.

I told the man of God that if death has been apportioned to a person by God, even 51 irapadas would not save that person.

After a brief debate, I decided to keep quiet. He said we should change the date. I acted like I would, just to avoid more debate sessions.

We went on the 23rd and returned on the 24th immediately after the ceremony. Even till now, death has refused to take us. I think death has become too scared to come close.

But note this: Whatever you believe becomes your reality.

It is not just a story; it is a revelation.

Watch out for the next episode.
